Clayoquot is an exclusive, luxury tented camp set in a magical location amidst pristine wilderness. The 25 guest tents are no ordinary tents and offer high spec interiors to rival any luxury hotel. Furnished in a traditional style, plush down duvets cover king-size beds and antique furniture sits alongside colourful rugs and atmospheric lighting. Fifteen of the tents are ensuite with shower room and the other five have loos just outside the tent and shared showers nearby. Designed on raised platforms, the tents are scattered along the water’s edge, while cedarwood boardwalks wind through the forest towards the main cookhouse. The camp also has spa tents and hot tubs.

Chilko Experience Wilderness Resort £££££

Built amidst a vast and spectacular wilderness, Chilko Experience Wilderness Lodge was originally created as a private family retreat to enjoy with friends and family. The lodge still retains all the charm and welcoming atmosphere of a family estate but now welcomes guests to stay in the six log and timber frame cabins. With a boutique feel, a maximum of 12 guests are hosted at any one time and the ethos of owners Phil and Anne Huston is fun family time. Built log by log over five years, each accommodation is set in 25 acres for complete privacy and have been lovingly furnished and decorated by Anne Huston, a keen antique collector.

Nimmo Bay Resort £££££

Nimmo Bay is an exclusive wilderness lodge. Only accessible via seaplane or helicopter, it is in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest on the west coast of British Columbia. Originally a fishing lodge, the resort offers exclusivity and privacy. Just nine cosy log cabins all have two bedrooms, bathrooms and relaxation areas that offer breath-taking views of the bay and surrounding area. Outside, they have hot tubs and open showers. A plethora of activities are available throughout the season here, with fishing chief amongst them. The area is home to Pacific Salmon (Coho, Pinks, and Chinook) Steelhead and trout (Rainbow and Dolly Varden). Other activities include hiking, kayaking, heli-adventures, bear viewing and whale watching.
