There are two types of climate in Salinas Grandes. Visit during December to March and enjoy the infinite view in which the entire landscape is reflected in the water on the surface of the salt flats. Or, visit during April to November and experience the immensity of the salt desert and its geometric salt figures.
At night, witness either a Full Moon, where the moon looks very large and close, lighting up with all its splendour, or a New Moon, where there is no moon and the stars take centre stage, and gaze upon one of the clearest skies in the world.

1 night stay – Visit Pristine Camps’ exclusive Pilestones del Salar (Salt Pools) to learn about the salt extraction process.
2+ night stay – Full day excursion to Barrancas. Visit the Municipal Reserve, the Piedra Mapa Circuit and the new Archaeology Interpretation Center of the town. Includes a gourmet lunch on the bed of the Barrancas River. The tour is done aboard a vehicle, or has the option to be combined with trekking.
3+ night stay – Full day excursion to Alfarcito. Visit the town and its main attractions, the viewpoint of the town and the town of Rinconadilla. Includes lunch at the Alfarcito Community Centre or at the Guayatoyac lagoon.

Salinas Grandes Luxury Camp is located 5 miles inside the heart of the Salinas Grandes in Jujuy province. Every guest will be met by a community guide at a meeting point in Tres Morros for transfers into the camp; the journey will be around 20-30 minutes. The closest airport is Gobernador Horacio Guzman Airport, 111 miles from the accommodation.

Patios de Cafayate Hotel & Spa is located on the edge of the charming town of Cafayate overlooking the Calchaqui Valley and surrounding vineyards.
