Mandarin Oriental blends contemporary and Japanese style with impeccable service. The 157 rooms and 22 suites are among the largest in Japan with floor to ceiling windows making the most of the wonderful city views, even stretching as far as Mount Fuji on a clear day.

The extensive spa also benefits from the views and a stay here will ensure a fabulous gastronomic journey with restaurants serving Sushi, French and molecular cuisine to name a few.

Why we like Mandarin Oriental Tokyo

The hotel has 10 restaurants including a French and Cantonese, both of which hold Michelin stars. In addition, there are Japanese, molecular tapas (looks like a strawberry and tastes like fish type thing) and a street cafe/bakery. Sushi chefs are not renowned for being very talkative, but the restaurant here has only 8 covers and the chef speaks excellent English so can explain exactly what you are eating.
