The main lodge features an open plan lounge, chef’s kitchen and dining areas and a fabulous copper fireplace and bar, all proudly reflecting Jaci’s trademark colour decor and South African hospitality. With thatched roofs, low stone walls, private outdoor showers, private viewing decks and large hand-mosaiced baths, the tented suites are the ideal “glamping” base for your adventure.
For groups of up to six guests, the Nare Suite is a private safari haven nestled just a stone’s throw away from an active waterhole providing endless opportunities to view wildlife passing through. The secluded Safari Suite is ideal for larger families or groups with an expansive deck, fire pit, starpod and private swimming pool. Both the Safari and Nare Suites come with their own game vehicle and field guide for a magical Madikwe adventure.

With twice daily game drives and a range of safari experiences on offer, Jaci’s Safari Lodge caters to all. Venture out on a photographic safari, with equipment available to hire from the lodge, a family or group safari, or a conservation safari for a hands-on conservation experience notching and micro-chipping rhinos and collaring elephants. Spend a night on a game drive, or lounge on your private deck or at the main lodge stargazing with knowledgeable guides available to point out constellations.
Step out of a game vehicle to explore the reserve on foot with an expert walking trails guide. Meander down the Marico River path walk through an endemic forest boasting an array of birdlife, as well as the chance to spot elephants swimming in Marico River. Madikwe is home to more than 350 species of bird, so is a haven for keen birders.
Jaci’s Staff Trust initiative aims to make a tangible difference to the lives of their employees, most of whom live in the local community. The Trust offers employees who have been employed at Jaci’s Lodges for more than five years, the opportunity to become shareholders in the business. A total of 27% of the business is currently owned by the Jaci’s Staff Trust. The shareholding is held in a trust, and eligible members receive their portion of the company dividends at the end of each year.
