Hobatere Lodge was rebuilt and reopened in 2015. It is situated 65 kilometres north of Kamanjab on the western border of the Etosha National Park, in a private concession area. This dry, tree-dotted expanse is home to a wide selection of game, including elephants, giraffes, elands and zebras.

Accommodation consists of six twin and six double chalets, all with en-suite facilities. Simply styled the lodge is comfortable and practical. Terracotta external walls complement the whitewashed interiors and rustic thatched roofs.

Hobatere belongs to Khoadi Hoas Conservancy. One of the primary objectives of the lodge is to increase the benefits to the local community, reducing human-wildlife conflict and promoting conservation of the area.
