Wild Bear Lodge (formerly Grizzly Bear Ranch) offers six comfortable riverside cabins complete with sundeck and a wood burning stove for a maximum of 12 guests for a true British Columbia wilderness experience. Owner and host, Julius, offers a warm welcome with plenty of stories. Activities at the ranch range from bear-viewing in the Autumn to alpine hikes in the summer.

Grizzly Bay Glamping Lodge £££££

Grizzly Bear Glamping Lodge is a floating lodge with comfortable, safari style tented accommodation. The tents have a simple design and are furnished with a mountain theme, in keeping with the environment just outside the canvas walls. The rustic log framed bed is complete with cosy duvet and each tent has a bathroom with hot water shower and compost toilet. Situated amidst ancient cedar tree rainforests on the shores of the world’s deepest fjord lake, a stay here offers the chance to truly connect with nature. The camp can accommodate up to eight adults and in addition to the sleeping accommodation, there is a kitchen tent where meals are served. 360-degree views from the lodge offer magical views of the star-studded skies, northern lights and ever-changing local wildlife.

Spirit Bear Lodge is located in the Klemtu region in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest surrounded by the rugged and stunning British Columbia landscape. With an abundance of wildlife including bears, wolves, whales and dolphins, time here is spent exploring this wildland and the wildlife that lies within with eco-tours that range from 3 to 7 nights. At the lodge, comfortable accommodation with large ocean-view windows ensures you can keep an eye on the activity at all times! The exterior of Spirit Bear Lodge has been designed to reflect the traditional longhouses that have been built for thousands of years by the West Coast First Nations, whilst inside local Tsimshian Art and large cedar dining tables are the traditional furnishings.

T’a Ish Camp offers an incredible bear viewing experience like nowhere else in British Columbia. A heli flight form Atlin takes guests deep into the wilds of BC for a fully immersive experience. Accommodation at T’a Ish sleeps up to just 8 guests and five members of staff in individual rustic cabins. Each cabin has a wood-burning stove and LED lighting via the camp generator. Meals are served outside to maximise wildlife observation opportunities. Apart from the designated viewing sites on the ground, guests also have the option to retreat to high platforms on their own. Armed with a camera, air horn and walkie- talkie, this is a great way to soak up the surroundings and even have your own wildlife story to tell.

Knight Inlet Lodge £££££

The Knight Inlet Lodge is located 180 kilometres northwest of the city of Vancouver. The lodge is not accessible by road, thus travel is by floatplane from Campbell River situated on Vancouver Island. A short 30-minute flight brings you to the mouth of the Glendale River and home of the Knight Inlet Lodge. The lodge floats on large cedar log booms and accommodates 26 people in simple rooms, complete with private bathrooms.

Great Bear Lodge is a charming, self-contained floating retreat dedicated to Grizzly Bear viewing programmes. Set amidst remote and pristine scenery, the two-storey lodge was originally towed to the area each season by owners Tom and Marg and has just eight en-suite guestrooms. Powered by wind and solar energy the lodge is committed to low-impact tourism.
