Nestled between the pampas and the Andes, in the heart of Cordoba, lies Estancia Los Potreros.

This exclusive 6,000-acre working cattle farm is secluded on the top of the ‘Sierra Chicas’ at an altitude of 3,000 feet. The estancia has remained in the same Anglo-Argentine family for four generations and offers a real window into traditional Argentinian farm life.

Activities

The family specialises in providing short and long riding expeditions in wonderful scenery, for which they deservedly have an excellent reputation. There is a horse for every ability, or there is plenty to do for those less interested in riding, including trekking, bird-watching, excursions in a vintage car or simply taking it easy by the pool.

Sustainability

The majority of energy used at Estancia Los Potreros is generated from renewable resources, mainly wind, water and solar power, and all farming on the estancia is undertaken with organic principles. They operate a strong ‘farm-to-table’ ethos when it comes to food, with home-reared beef, free-range egg and fruit and vegetables from the garden.

Not only this, but they have an active tree-planting programme and zero food waste policy. Even the wine bottles are transported back to the winery where they can be filled again.
